The
Cechino Cellini label is our
bench mark for the serious young student. Made from selected and
figured tone woods, the cello is fitted up to a high standard in our
own workshops, specifications include Jargar strings, Despiau bridge,
Wittner tail-piece, ebony pegs and fingerboard, and of course nothing
has been left to chance. The precise camber of the fingerboard has been
planed and smoothed to template, the sound-post placed so as to give a
warm yet bright tone, and the bridge set just right - we usually leave
them a little high so that we can finish the precise height and curve
to you individual taste when you have selected your new instrument.
Larsen strings are available at extra cost. 4/4 Cechino Cellini Cello £950
including VAT.
(Please not that this is just for the cello - we would be delighted to show you our range of cases and bows, but these are available at extra cost) |

This cello has a sweet tone and
a lightly figgured back in two pieces
of well quartered sycamore that is very attractive. It benefits from
the usual high standard of Timothy Batchelar set up including Jargar
strings, Despiau bridge,
Wittner tail-piece, ebony pegs and fingerboard, and has of course been
"voiced" by Timothy Batchelar personally.
